Step I: Use the powerpoint (3 slides) to look at samples of scale drawings. Then use word or another program to create a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting the drawings.
Questions to think about:
1. How are these drawings created?
2. What are the numbers used for?
3. Who/what professions use these drawings?

The next two videos discuss how to read scales/scale factors and how to use scales/scale factors to find unknown factors.

Once you are done watching video 2, solve the the three problems at the end of that video. Log on to Sophia to place your answers.
Step 3: Now lets complete a mini lesson over how to calculate the scale/scale factor. Watch the below videos. Watch them as many times as you need and as you are watching, work through the examples that are used. Once you feel comfortable with this concept, then log into quizegg and work through the quiz. You will be able to take the quiz a total of 3 times. So if you do not succeed, then go back to the videos and retake the quiz.

Step 4: After everyone has master the scale/scale factor lesson, break up into your predetermined groups and decide what room you will measure and create a scale drawing of. Once you have exact measurements, then figure out the scale to will be used. Please spend at least a day maybe two learning the computer program. The software is: http://www.homestyler.com

Please email me when your group gets started on the actual project. At that point, your group will have a week to get the drawing emailed to me.
Once you are done, please email me your scale drawing along with the actual dimensions of the room you used.
